Formula 1 Hero Breaks Both Ankles

80-year old grand prix legend, Sir Stirling Moss, fell down a lift shaft at his home this weekend. He was taken to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel to be treated for serious injuries.

His injuries include: 2 broken ankles, 4 chipped vertebrae, 4 broken bones in a foot and skin damage. The heroic Sir Stirling managed to stay conscious throughout the fall and has now been taking to a closer hospital for surgery: pinning and plating both of his ankles.

Sir Stirling Moss’ recovery should take around 6 weeks.
